Members are given an opportunity to become active in the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and Industry by joining one of our committees. Committees increase the effectiveness and revenues of the Chamber and provide our members with new ideas, more information and special events. Members are welcome to join the following committees:

Board Development committee is responsible for identifying new board members committed to assisting the Chamber.

Membership committee is responsible for increasing the membership of the Chamber by assisting with membership retention and developing ways to attract new members.

Marketing committee reviews current Chamber marketing materials and promotions and recommends ways to improve and increase awareness of the Chamber.

Legislative committee advises the Chamber on legislative issues at the local, state and federal levels that are of interest to the business community and helps to write the policy statement on issues affecting the Chamber.

Scholarship committee is responsible for reviewing each completed scholarship application and awarding the annual scholarships based on the approved criteria.

Special Events committees work with the Program Director to organize the annual Golf Outing and Winter Garden Ball. The committee assists in reviewing event venues and designing event print items. The committee is also responsible for obtaining sponsors, raffle gifts, participants and volunteers for the event.

Football Raffle committee is responsible for selling ad space in the raffle books and disturbing and selling raffle books.
