In 1989, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry established a Chamber Foundation for the purpose of providing educational programs for the business community and community-at-large.

The Foundation annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose parents are employed by a Chamber member business. To date, the Foundation has awarded 56 scholarships.

Educational programs for our membership are also provided through our Foundation. Certificate programs from Oakton Community College Business Institute and Harper College, HR workshops, seminars and business development programs are all provided to our members at little or no cost through the Foundation.

The Foundation also provides support to the community by supporting such programs as the Des Plaines Public Library reading program, the Arts Council scholarship fund, Maryville Academy and the Disable Students Scholarship fund.

This Foundation is a not-for-profit, (501) (c) (3) organization and is supported solely by contributions. All contributions to the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.
