2026 Des Plaines Chamber's Veterans Back to Work Boot Camp Application
SELECTED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED IN AUGUST / CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT TO FOLLOW.
Your resposibilites once you are in the course:
- Come to every class you can - only 1 Excused Bootcamp absence
- Be on time Class – (early is preffered as dnner will be served for participants at 5:00 P.M)
- Turn off Cell phones during class/ zoom
- Put forth your best effort & be open
- Complete & Finish weekly practice assignments
- Use yor mentors - Support each other while making sure you are in a safe settingParticiapte and enagage with us on social media – after we will invite you into a private Facebook group so you all can connect and see other upcoming events or announcements
- Connect with each other on LinkedIn, along with mentors and chamber volunteers
- Provide feedback if you would like, also have fun, participate and ask questions and beopen to the amazing opportunities!
- Learn to Use Google Classroom
Upon completion of the Boot Camp in November 2026, each Veteran will receive:
- Personal Laptop Computer with Microsoft Office Package
- Career Enhancing Gift Cards
- Personalized Resume Package that includes 1- 1 personalized help with Social Media and Interviewing
- Career Coaching & Mentoring from HR & Business Leaders from across the region
- Professional & Personal Development Training
